Fighting Female Genital Cutting

"...Egyptian government figures put the rate of female genital cutting among women ages 15 to 49 at 91 percent. Among teenagers 15 to 17, it is 74 percent. Unicef estimates that of the 125 million women worldwide who have under gone genital cutting in the 29 countries where it is most prevalent —mostly in Africa and the Middle East —one in five lives in Egypt..."
