Search Instructions

Multi-Word Search Terms: 
  • Multiple words are considered a literal "search phrase"
    Example: Searching Spousal Violence - is seen to the search engine as "Spousal Violence"
  • To search for doc that contain both "Spousal" and  "Violence" and not just  "Spousal Violence" use an "AND" between the terms.
    Search Term: Spousal AND Violence
  • To search for ALL docs and pages that contain either term "Spousal" or  "Violence" use an "OR" between the terms.
    Search Term: Spousal OR Violence
  • To search for docs that contain the phrase "Spousal Violence" or just "Violence"
    Search Term: Spousal Violence OR Violence
  • To search for docs that contain the phrase "Spousal Violence" and "Violence"
    Search Term: Spousal Violence AND Violence
Facet Navigation (Narrow Results):
 
     To "narrow" the search results using the facet search groups:
  • Items checked in each different facet search group are treated as AND. 
  • Facets checked from the "same" group are treated as OR.
  • After selecting desired items click the "Update Search Results" button.
     Example:
  • From the "Publications Types" facet search group checked "Fact Sheets" and "Final Reports"
  • From the "Year" facet search group checked "2017"
  • Results returned:  Only pages and documents from 2017 which were Final Reports OR Fact Sheets.
